Get involved
The success of Floriade is due in a large part to the dedication and enthusiasm of our wonderful volunteers. We had a fantastic response from the community in 2009.
We invite everyone to return again in 2010 and welcome anyone new considering volunteering.
Becoming a volunteer is a fantastic way to support and grow Canberra – all the while surrounded by spectacular garden beds and world-class entertainment!
About volunteering
Becoming a volunteer is a great opportunity to grow many aspects of Floriade which add value to visitor's experiences.
Consider becoming a Floriade volunteer if you are the kind of person who enjoys gardening and horticulture, meeting new people, helping visitors or being outdoors.
As a volunteer, you receive training, a uniform and the opportunity to participate in the highly-popular 'bulb dig' – where you can take home some Floriade bulbs! All volunteers are required to complete a minimum of six shifts during the festival.
