In 2017, visitors experienced Floriade like never before at the first ever twilight concert.

Proudly presented by Singapore Airlines, the Canberra Symphony Orchestra joined the David Bowie tribute act, The Ziggy Band, on stage at the inaugural Floriade Twilight Concert. The night air was filled with music as visitors danced to the best of Bowie on Friday 15 September.

Guests were transported back in time by all their favourite hits, from Let’s Dance through to Starman.  Visitors brought along chairs, beanbags or rugs and settle in for an evening of pure entertainment. Guests enjoyed exclusive access to Canberra’s iconic flower festival before the Floriade gates officially open the next morning.

Can I bring my own picnic rug and chairs?

Yes, you may bring picnic rugs and chairs; however, the Floriade team asks that you are mindful of other attendees. Please be considerate when setting up chairs that may block the view of other attendees.

Can I bring food to the concert?

Yes, food may be brought to the concert. You will also be able to purchase delicious dishes and snacks at the concert. Please note, glass bottles and other breakable containers cannot be brought into Floriade.

Can I bring alcohol to the concert?

Attendees are not permitted to bring alcohol into Floriade. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the concert.
