As a performer, DJ and producer for the past 12 years, I have made a career in the chill-out and ambient musical styles. Through my travels I have picked up musical flavours from all over the globe, which I will present at the Lotus Lounge.Whether performing at Montreal's Jazz Festival, DJing sunset sessions on the Sunshine Coast, to writing, producing and selling over 150,000 albums, music is my passion, and I love sharing it. My sets will include my own original compositions, as well as a diverse range of handpicked tunes from artists all over the world. I will be accompanied by a handful of exceptional and well-known local musicians, as well as playing percussion.

Audio Shaman

Soul @ Lotus Lounge
Time:
7.30 - 9.00pm

Audio Shaman is the endlessly inventive and emotionally nourishing musical vessel for Carey O’Sullivan and Paul George. Their music is like a series of traveler’s landscapes providing a thoughtful listening experience that is enlightening, mesmerizing and cleansing. Marrying acoustic gypsy scales, down-tempo meanderings and latin beats with smoothly integrated electronic world-sounds provides for an international musical experience that transcends language, culture and tradition.

Also, as the creative spearheads behind one of Australia’s up-and-coming live bands - Tijuana Cartel - Carey and Paul have performed as far and wide as India, London and the Beijing Olympics in 2008, and have quickly built a following in the Nation’s Capital.

In 2002 Leigh co-founded One World Music and launched the label with his own mixed compilation Zen Connection, a unique global beats album that has gone on to sell thousands of copies around the world. It was hailed by Ministry of Sound Magazine as "an absolute pearler, unquestionably echoes Buddha Bar but this is more adventurous. 9 out of 10". Leigh has since produced four volumes of Zen Connection plus another best seller and more vocal offshoot in Eco-Zen.
